Dr. Natasha Budd

Senior Associate

“At the heart of my practice is the belief that people construct knowledge rather than merely consume it. I love the creativity involved in crafting experiences that engage participants socially, emotionally, and cognitively, to build understanding that is meaningful and sustained.”

Natasha is a highly regarded senior facilitator at PF, currently leading one of our long-running cultural transformation initiatives. She combines deep human and team insights with a warm, grounded demeanour, enabling her to read and lead the room, to guide positive group outcomes.

Natasha’s approach to learning is experimental and constructivist: where people learn through experience and interaction with their environment. Underpinning all her work is the desire to initiate lasting positive change through collaborative and creative processes. Her way of thinking and working is an application of her deep expertise in education, the arts, collaborative discovery, and community development.

Before joining our team, Natasha led a rich career at the intersection of education and the Arts. Through her PhD, she investigated directorial and design strategies for working with non-actors which won the Phillip Parson’s Prize . She has held positions with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), and University of Sunshine Coast (USC), where she won the Advance Award for Learning and Teaching . Her interests have led her into work as a lecturer, researcher, stage director, learning designer, writer, performer, and coach.

In her down time, Natasha is still actively involved in performance writing and direction.
